Google Voice for Droid, visual voicemail done right

Google Voice for Droid, visual voicemail done right

If there’s one way to put your foot in the door, it’s offering what’s normally a paid service, for free. Google has done just that with it’s Google Voice app for the Droid, which is arguably better than any other visual voicemail app, and without the $10 a month bullshit. You can listen or read a text version of the voicemail all within the app. I find it pretty funny that apple won’t allow this in their app store. +1 for Google. To download simply search for “Google Voice” in the droid market.

Check out this strange but interesting vid.

google voice doesn’t work very well. Every time I turn my phone on google voice says it has to “force close.”
The transcripts are weird. They never get the message right and the words are confused and incorrect.

  2. The app probably needs an update, or maybe a reinstall. The speech to text isn’t perfect, but what’s wrong with just listening to the voicemail? No app does speech to text perfectly.
