New Droid Update creates security flaw.
The new update just released for all Google phones not already on the 2.0 firmware creates a slight flaw in security. On the custom lock screen you can set up, if it’s enabled, and you receive a phone call while the phone is locked, during the call you can just press the “back” arrow button and have access to all the phone’s normal menu. Some people find this as a real vulnerability, but I think it couldn’t be more meaningless. First, there aren’t tons of phone thieves lurking in the shadows waiting to access people’s menus. Second, even if there were, upon losing a phone, you can instantly deactivate the service on it.
Motorola claims they’re releasing a patch very soon.
